This work was created for an August 2008 residency at HotelPupik in Scheifling bei St Lorenzen, Austria.
This is a four-channel sound installation consisting of two stereo pairs of speakers. One pair plays from two smaller speakers positioned closely at the center of a large field. The other pair is located near separate buildings on the grounds and are pointed into the adjacent mountain and valley respectively so that their reflections appear to come from opposite places in the landscape. Sounds taken from the environment over the course of the residency move between the wide and narrow stereo pairs. The audience can choose a wide array of vantage points from which to explore the work.
Audio is an excerpt recorded by audience member Daniel Lercher.
